Visiting this website
When you visit this website, the hosting provider automatically stores data in server log files: the page requested, date and time, volume of data transferred, browser and operating system used, and your IP address. This data serves the secure and stable operation of the website and is not combined with other sources. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in technically faultless operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Appointment requests
If you request an appointment using the form on this website, the following details are stored: first name, last name, date of birth, address, email address, telephone number, requested appointment and appointment type, together with any voluntary information about referral and your reason for the appointment. The time of the request and your IP address are also stored to prevent misuse.
Date of birth and address are required for the invoice you can submit to your health insurer.
If you provide information about symptoms or previous conditions in the free-text field, this constitutes health data under Art. 9 GDPR. This special category of personal data is processed on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR) and for the purposes of health care (Art. 9(2)(h) GDPR). Providing it is voluntary and not required to request an appointment.
The data is used solely to process your request and to manage appointments. It is not passed on to third parties. Access is restricted to the practice and subject to medical confidentiality.
Retention: Appointment requests are deleted automatically [24] months after the appointment. Statutory retention periods for medical records under § 51 Ärztegesetz (at least ten years) remain unaffected.
Contact by email or telephone
If you contact me by email or telephone, your details are stored in order to deal with your enquiry. Please note that unencrypted email is not considered a secure channel under data protection law. For health information I recommend the telephone or a personal consultation.
Maps
A Google Maps map can be embedded to show the location of the practice (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The map is not loaded automatically: you first see a placeholder and decide yourself whether to display the map. Only when you click it is a connection to Google established and your IP address transmitted to Google, possibly to the United States. The legal basis is the consent you give by clicking (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). If you do not load the map, no data is transmitted. See Google’s privacy policy.
Fonts
The fonts used on this website are stored on its own server and loaded from there. No connection to third-party servers — such as Google Fonts — is established, and your IP address is not transmitted to any third party for this purpose.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies for analytics or advertising. Technically necessary cookies may be set by WordPress, for example when logging in to the administration area.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Please use the contact details above.
